"I just LOVE art (long pause) . . . and strawberries," mused a contented first grade artist today.  That is a quote that will stick with me for a while.  Today first and second graders finished their toilet paper roll mask sculptures.  We studied the amazing art of Junior Fritz Jacquet, and tried our best to emulate his style.  I was rather amazed that even though the project requires very strong fingers and a lot of patience, there were no tears at all.  We truly learned how to appreciate art!
